Black Friday Week Starts Now

Cozy Finds to Warm Your Holidays

Black Friday Week is officially live on Amazon, running from today through December 2nd, and it is the perfect time to snag deals that will bring a little extra warmth and magic to your holiday season. Whether you are looking for thoughtful gifts or ways to cozy up your home, these deals are too good to pass up.

For me, this time of year is all about the moments that make the season special. I cannot help but think back to those magical Christmas Eves from my childhood. We would gather by the fire, the tree twinkling in the background, while Papa (my dad) pulled out his favorite Christmas stories to read. There was something so soothing about his voice weaving through the words of The Night Before Christmas. Even now, Papa keeps that tradition alive, and it is one of my favorite parts of the holidays. Just as comforting as a warm blanket or a cup of cocoa.

That is what this list is about: finding little things that make your home feel like a holiday retreat. From twinkling lights to the coziest throws, these items are perfect for creating those same warm, nostalgic moments. Let’s dive in.

Layered in Limbo: How to Capture Fall Vibes When It’s Still Warm

There’s an unmistakable allure to the gradual transition from summer to fall. As the sunsets deepen into rich, golden hues and the leaves whisper of their impending change, the air begins to cool ever so slightly. Yet, we find ourselves in that familiar, frustrating limbo—caught between the urge to embrace the season’s comforts and the reality of lingering summer heat. Fall beckons, but it hasn’t fully arrived.

Right now, we teeter on the edge of cozy. The desire to shut off the AC and embrace fresh, crisp air is undeniable, but the reality of midday heat forces a quick reversal. It’s too warm for full-on autumn attire but too brisk to venture out without at least a light layer. Each morning becomes an exercise in sartorial strategy—too many layers, and by noon, the heat has you regretting every choice; too few, and you’re left exposed to the evening chill.

This in-between moment, however awkward, has its own charm. Fall whispers at the edges of the day, yet summer still clings, forcing us to oscillate between the two. But while the weather refuses to cooperate, the need for fall’s signature warmth persists. Rather than wait for the season to settle, I’ve found a way to immerse myself in fall’s charm—without breaking a sweat.

Enter: YouTube fireplaces. These virtual hearths have become my secret weapon for crafting that elusive autumn atmosphere. In my office, I’ve taken to displaying cozy, crackling fires on my screen. The flames flicker, the logs hiss and pop, and suddenly, the room feels transformed. It’s a psychological shift—without the oppressive heat of a real fire, I create the illusion of coziness and autumnal festivity, even while the AC hums in the background.

There’s something satisfyingly rebellious about it—commanding the room’s mood, despite what the thermostat might suggest. The ambient warmth from the screen, paired with the unmistakable crackle of burning wood, fosters a sense of calm and focus. It’s as though I’ve transported myself to a cabin in the woods, surrounded by the quiet of a brisk fall evening, while the real world remains somewhere on the other side of the screen.

And it works. I light a fall-scented candle, or turn on some earthy essential oils, queue up the fireplace, and suddenly, my workspace adopts the very essence of autumn. The flames become a backdrop, a subtle yet powerful signal that the season is shifting, even if the weather lags behind. The steady rhythm of the burning logs adds a layer of focus to my workday, transforming mundane tasks into something softer, cozier. It’s not about pretending—it’s about summoning the spirit of fall, no matter the temperature outside.

These virtual fireplaces aren’t just decoration; they offer a glimpse into the coziness we crave. They help bridge the gap between the lingering warmth of summer and the crisp coolness of fall that we’re all anticipating. Soon enough, the weather will catch up, and I’ll swap my digital flames for the real thing. But for now, I craft my own version of autumn—layering strategically, savoring the hint of fall in the air, and leaning into the cozy ambiance of a fire, even if it’s just on my screen.

This time of year, it’s not about waiting for the perfect moment to embrace the season. It’s about creating it, however possible. I choose to surround myself with the comfort of fall—through crackling YouTube fireplaces, pumpkin-scented candles, and an unshakable sense that soon, the real autumn will arrive. Until then, I’ll continue layering, adjusting the AC, and savoring every moment of this in-between season. Because sometimes, a bit of imagination and a virtual fire are all you need to welcome fall before it fully arrives.

What I’m using today: (We even like to joke around the office that it warms the place up.) How are you welcoming fall?
