If you choose not to do something for fear of failure, is that not failure in itself?
Generally I watch some random, older movie before I fly off to dream land. I’ve been considering doing a review of them as I go along.
The determining factor is going to be what the DirectTV line-up is, and what kind of mood I am in.
Last night’s movie:
The Skeleton Key, on Oxygen.
I’ve seen this movie before, so I’m not sure if I’m cheating or not, but, really, how can I cheat at my own game?
I love this movie. It’s set in modern-day Louisiana, where our heroine, Kate Hudson (who is the totally chic-hot daughter of Goldie Hawn), is a hospice nurse for a couple with a taste for voodoo.
So, I love Kate Hudson because she’s so damned cute, and I’m always intriqued by the supernatural of any kind. I found the movie to be quite thrilling, even on the second time through. I’d watch it again, even. This, however will put an end to what I have to say, for fear of giving too much away. I anticipate these reviews to get a bit juicier as I get better at doing reviews.
You can watch the trailer here.
It’s kind of something I’ve always been into. More so now that I’m back in the position to have an office job. The problem here is that I don’t have too much money so I am going to start taking a few bucks from each pay check and stop at the Salvation Army (or Salvation Armani as we like to call it) and practice my Up-Cycling skills.
Up-Cycling is a movment that I’m super into right now, too, and I will be posting on that a little later.
So… I don’t have an exact direction yet, but I want to start a blog, away from the fatfamilyfitness blog that I’m doing with my family that is basically me. So hold on to your butts! Let’s see where this takes us!
Chopsticks, that is! Being my favorite eating utensil, I use it for nearly every meal that I eat! I know that chopsticks are difficult to use for someone who was brought up in western culture and wasn’t exposed to them at a young age. I learned how to use them out of sheer curiosity and awe. A very good friend of mine is from Taiwan and she also showed me how to use them and proper table etiquette. I just wanted to share with all of you how to use them so you can enjoy them as much as I do!
This is a very good video to explain how to use chopsticks.
Here’s another great video to check out!
Chopsticks are easily available, at a very cheap price at places like the Wal-mart in the Asian Food sections. These are disposable chopsticks, however. Check out this website for some fun chopsticks, and other asian inspired kitchen accessories, to keep in your silverware drawer all the time!
My little sister got this video in an e-mail from our aunt the other day.
“Make sure you read as well as listen.
This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20 year old.
The contest was Titled “u @ 50”, by the AARP
This video won second place. When they showed it , everyone in the
room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause.
So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch it.”
